The firm specializes in the resolution of significant and complex civil and commercial disputes, legal advisory services for government agencies and corporate entities, the disposal of non‑performing financial assets, and criminal defense. It has represented numerous high‑profile, challenging cases, successfully recovering substantial economic losses for its clients, and provides ongoing and project‑specific legal services to a wide range of government bodies, enterprises, and public institutions.
I. Major and Complex Civil and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration
He possesses extensive litigation experience in areas such as motor vehicle traffic accident liability disputes, contract disputes, property rights disputes, and the recovery of financial loans and non‑performing assets, and is adept at devising effective litigation strategies in cases involving complex legal relationships and substantial monetary stakes.
1. Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident Liability Dispute: Represented Mr. Niu in a motor vehicle traffic accident liability case against Mr. Li and the Suzhou Branch of China Ping An Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd., ultimately securing for the client over RMB 1.67 million, including RMB 180,000 under compulsory traffic insurance and an additional compensation of over RMB 1.49 million based on the tortfeasor’s 70% share of liability, for a total award exceeding RMB 1.8 million.
2. Contract Disputes: Represented Mr. Gao in a contract dispute case against a certain bureau in Changping District, Beijing. The case involved complex legal issues, including the assignment of credit rights and the determination of whether the conditions for settlement and payment of construction fees had been fulfilled, with the subject matter exceeding RMB 9 million. By thoroughly arguing that the debtor was obligated to facilitate the fulfillment of the payment conditions, we successfully persuaded the court to find that such conditions had indeed been met, resulting in a judgment that fully upheld all claims for construction payments.
3. Dispute over the recovery of non‑performing financial claims: Represented the People’s Government of a town in Changping District, Beijing, in a litigation brought by the Beijing Branch of China Cinda Asset Management Co., Ltd. concerning the recovery of non‑performing financial claims. The case involves 62 legacy loans originating in the 1990s, with principal and interest totaling over RMB 60 million. Key points of contention include the scope of liability, the validity of debt assumption, and issues of statute of limitations—cutting‑edge legal questions. On appeal, the court upheld the first‑instance ruling that the scope of debt assumption was limited to the principal, that the government agency’s act of assuming the debt was invalid, and that the government bore only 40% of the liability for compensation.
4. Private Lending and Contract Disputes: Represented Mr. Sun in a contract dispute against Tangshan Jiarun Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. and its Chengde Branch, successfully securing the recovery of RMB 10 million in principal together with corresponding interest.
5. Inheritance and Legacy Disputes: Represented Cao Moumou in a litigation concerning a legacy dispute brought by Qi Moumou. The central issue was the validity of a will prepared by another person, involving complex questions such as compliance with formal requirements, the qualifications of witnesses, and the testator’s genuine intent. The second-instance court upheld the first-instance ruling that part of the will was valid.
II. Legal Counsel for Government Agencies and Enterprises/Institutions
He has successively served as the chief legal counsel for numerous government agencies, state-owned enterprises, and prominent private companies, providing comprehensive legal support to clients in areas such as compliance management, risk prevention and control, and major decision-making.
1. Served as legal counsel to grassroots governments, including the People’s Government of Liucun Town, Changping District, Beijing, and was deeply involved in addressing legacy debts, handling administrative litigation, and reviewing normative documents.
2. We provide comprehensive legal advisory services to numerous enterprises, covering contract review, labor and employment compliance, corporate governance, business negotiations, and other areas, thereby supporting their stable and sustainable development. We also offer end-to-end legal support throughout key stages, including the design of corporate restructuring plans, employee placement, asset disposal, establishment of governance structures, as well as financing negotiations and the drafting of transaction documents.
III. Criminal Defense
He also possesses extensive experience in criminal defense, specializing in the representation of clients in cases involving official misconduct and economic crimes.
